You control all these heroes as one unit, and they can all combine to form extra-large weapons that can be used to dispatch the colorful aliens you'll encounter. This is accomplished by drawing certain shapes on the touchscreen, leading your heroes to form, say, a sword or a fist. There are tradeoffs to toting the larger weapons, though, and these subtleties won't be lost on adults. And while the combat can certainly feel button-mashy, learning the intricacies, learning to separate our multitude of heroes into smaller groups, or choosing the right weapons, offers plenty of depth.
